1999 SV650 Ignitor Info

Hi Guys,

My ignitor from my 1999 SV650 has blown and i wanna get into it to try and repair it however, there appears to be this rubber sealant on the under part of the ignitor. How do i get past this stuff????

I haven't taken an SV ignition unit apart, but in my experience they commonly have the electronics set in a hard resin, which makes repairs unlikely - assuming you could find out what's wrong in the first place.
