View Full Version : Noise when turning bars.

Today I noticed that with bike running in neutral, when I turned full right lock, a weird high pitched noise came from the engine. It sounded very much like a car starter motor turning over and over. As long as full right steering was applied...the noise continued.

All the cables and wires on the right hand side seem to be hanging a little loose, and are outside of the yoke....where as the wires/ cables going to left side of handle bars, come out from the centre.

On returning home from a brief ride, the problem was no longer there....I am assuming its something to do with the loose wires.

Just curious if anyone has any insight....I plan on getting the spanners out at weekend anyway.

Doh! Of course mate you are spot on. Had just fitted my new tank bag. One of the buckles must have touched start button. Couldn't see very well in dim garage, with black buckle against black tank.thanks again!
