Suzuki SV650S Silver 1999 ”T“ reg.
MOT until February 2015
90K miles

I commuted daily to work on this bike but laid it up when the chain snapped and due to other commitments I had no time to fix it.
I have since fitted an new link but found the chain has now got some stiff links so will need replacing, also the battery will now not hold its charge since it has stood for a few months.
General cosmetic condition is as you would expect for a daily commuter of this age and mileage.
The bike just needs some TLC but I still have limited time to sort the bike and I need the space in the garage.
Good Commuter, Winter bike or brake for spares.
Still has MOT until February 2015

Good points:
GSXR four pot front brakes with adapters and braded lines
HID lights
Heated grips
Renntec sports rack (and original grab rail)
Lowering link “Dog Bones” on rear suspension (and original links if I can find them in the garage)
Mikuni high level carbon race pipes with removable baffles

Not so good points:
Dead battery
Some links in the chain are stiff so would need replacing
Rear tyre worn
Cracked faring on RHS and rear brake lever fixed with bolt (both due to low speed off on black Ice - passes MOT in this condition)
Front exhaust header nuts worn –(fixed with a running repair of additional springs - passes MOT in this condition)

£100, buyer collects
Cheshire

If, for any reason this hasn't gone - give me a nod and I'll be there with £100 in crinkly, Scottish bank notes that evening.

The bike has now gone; Gizmo came round yesterday and took it away in a van.
It is good to see that a 15 year old high mileage bike is sill of interest to people and has value.
I got her for £1150 from a breaker in 2006 with 11,507miles, no crash damage but with a faulty regulator.
Now 8 years and 78,969 miles on she owes me nothing. I reckon that the commute to work at 80K miles is about 1860 hours in the seat and at commute speed, about 11 weeks continuous riding. That is some time that we have been together. We have had dry days, wet days and snowy days. I just wanted to move her on, ideally to someone who had the time to sort out her short list of issues. Time is a premium these days for me and I need the space.
£100 was OK for me. Priced to sell quickly.
Dave I hope you get sorted. It can be a pain when your bike is dead.
I now commute on a 2007 SV650S Sport, though it will be another 8 years or so before I sell this one. J

Cheers Duke, honest man, honest bike.

Thanks for the help strapping her in for the ride too! Much appreciated.
