I am in need to soon buy some gear. Where do you buy yours? Which places do you usually check for gear?
Helmet, gloves, jacket, boots, gps mount, pants, etc... the whole lot.

Snigger, when you say pants you mean trousers right? Because the last thing you want is for someone to post up that photo of a certain org member wearing nowt but a mankini!
Seriously though nothing beats trying stuff on in person rather than having to risk buying and returning with the expense of postage so where will you be based?

London. South/West to be precise. New job is in Staines, will live somewhere with a decent commute but still part of the city :p.
I have no idea what shops are around your area, but I'd definitely recommend going in a few shops as they stock different items, and trying as much on as possible.
I was really suprised by the difference in fit from different makes and even different jackets by the same make. I've tried a few different helmets on today, and they all feel different too. Same again, different styles by the same make, feel and fit totally different.
I always try as much on as I can. Then, when I know what I want, either get it online as it's cheaper, or from my local bike shop who give good discount and can order stuff in if it's not something they normally stock.
Helmet, Pants and Staines. snigger i like this thread already :-)

You see I knew that would happen. THERE'S A U RATING YOU KNOW!
Infinity Motorcycles have a couple of shops in London, one just off Regent Street.

Ebay mainly because you can get fabulous bargains there.
E.g.
Brand new Furygan textile jacket rrp £260 bought for £130
Nearly new Sidi boots £85
Nearly new Alpinestars SP2 gloves £30
Used Furygan leather pants £50
Used Furygan leather jacket £50
Total cost £345, about the same as a good quality new jacket.
Bell helmet was brand new from Gorgeous Bikes discounted from £330 to £250
Just can't bring myself to pay full price on gear when so much good stuff is available 24/7.

I tend to try things on in local stores like J&S, infinity; then if the items can be found on line significantly cheaper ill buy them off line knowing the sizes i need. Recently J&S has had some really good deals and i grabbed a berik kangaroo skin one piece for £270 and some BKS kevlar jeans for £79, and Alpinestars textile jacket for £79 too.

Hahahahahaa
I am looking for gear for myself so welcome all the recommendations. I was also considering it would be nice to have a good collection of org approved stores for other members and future reference. Sometimes that hidden shop 20 kilometers away is worth the ride!

I'd say try a J&S if there's one near you. So is this becoming a thread where people show pictures of forum members almost showing their members?

No, please no, I'm eating.
I've picked up cheap jackets at www.worldoftriumph.com
I wouldn't want to blast down the motorway in them but for nipping into town or down the pub they offer good protection without looking like a Power Ranger.
