Hi all,

Got a big trip to Auz so the bikes got to go to pay for the trip.

The details:
2002 SV650s
Tax till November/ MOT till end of December
18,900 miles
Tyres were done 300 miles ago

At 15,000 it had a major service:
Chain and sprocket (D.I.D Xring gold)
Braided lines front and rear
Front pads
Air filer
Oil Filter
Spark plugs (NGK)
Oil (Motul)

Other bits:
Fuel slash cut exhaust (with baffle)
Double bubble smoked screen
Adjustable levers
R&G bar ends
Oxford bobbins
Undertray

Overall in good condition, it has never been crashed or dropped. One fairing does have a scratch in it which was my fault but isn’t too noticeable – see pics.

£1300

Thanks

Gav

Forgot to say that the levers are extendable and flip up too - they were bought from Demon Tweeks a couple of months ago.

I've seen other people blur out the license plate number. Not sure what is the risk of displaying it, but maybe worth considering not to.

Yeah not sure why - it means if someone wants to do a vehicle check they can without having to ask for more details in my mind!

Do you ever ride through Biggin Hill in the mornings? If so, I'm the red curvy coming from the other direction!

That's not me, I've got yellow headlights and commute on the a21, funnily enough I see a red sv in the mornings!

How on earth did you manage to keep it in such good condition?

Its not difficult with abit of care and attention.

With respect. I hadnt and still havent seen an sv as tidy as the one i sold the other month. Just regular cleaning, waxing and care.

That and it was mostly ridden in the dry.

The down pipe is always a challenge - it was rusted up when I got it but some autosol/peek and a lot of elbow grease brings it up silver again - really stubborn areas can be buffed back with a really, really low grade emory first.

The rest is just regular cleaning - turtle wax alloy wheel clean is safe on paint and dissolves chain lube (is use PJ1 which ACTUALLY doesn't fly off) and after rainy days a bit of muc-off on the engine.

Body is auto-glym super resin polish.

+1.

And to add to that. A good wax can compliment the paint even more.

I also polished and waxed the forks to protect them from pitting
