IT'S THIS WEEK FOLKS ANYONE ELSE LOOKING FORWARD TO IT?

I'd like to put thanks out to everyone I've annoyed and pestered for advice and opinions in the last wee while. You guys know who you are so BIG THANKS!

Tam, extra special thanks for taking on the Tshirt job, I owe you big time. I'd never have got round to it myself.

I've not even panicked yet which is a miracle (theres still time) luggage is all packed and I'm ready to go now. I'll see you all on Friday for a great weekend.

S'all good. :-D

Packed? Friday morning is for packing (aka throwing stuff aimlessly into a tailpack).

Actually the missus is bringing the car up as she has to go home on Sunday so i dont think I will even bother packing the tailpack on Friday!...

I'm being good on Friday just a couple of tasters. Saturday might have a few more. Not as if its far too Applecross and theres motogp to watch of its not on too late.

Coverage starts 10.30am, big event is 3pm, so 4pm finish. It's a big ask to catch the motogp race.

Looking at 2.5hrs travel time by most direct route with a fuel stop for some of us. (125miles)
Maybe do-able if we are organised and ready to go.

So... watch race, dis-engage brains from race god mode, sling leg over bike, make good progress ;-) , arrive 18:45ish, order pint and grub 19:00 or later.

There is no food being served at the campsite garden cafe this year except breakfasts. Means that the Inn is only option & will be heaving by the time we arrive.

Hmmm.

Seems a bit too rushed for me. I would rather skip the motogp and enjoy the ride over than 'making good progress' to get there for dinner.

Thats way later than I expected. hmm might just have to avoid the results and watch it on Tuesday when I get home.

Applecross is most definitely the place to go then. No mobile signal, no tv in bar.

I too think it's on a bit late to stay around for.
Sky+ it and watch at your leisure while recovering from a weekend long trip. :D

Better to use Sunday for a nice run up the road.

I'm pretty sure there was Wifi at the campsite or the Inn (although I seem to remember having to pay and the signal being a bit pants!).
