cafés south of Bristol?

Does anyone know of any decent pubs or cafés South of Bristol that are worth a visit?

Been looking North and East and haven't found anything so far, but been enjoying the ride.

Cheddar has some good ones. If you ever need a tea does my house count as a cafe?

I've been down Cheddar gorge once before but got constantly stuck behind tour busses so ive not been back since.
