View Full Version : Push bike wanted
Does anybody have a men's adult push iron they want to get rid of?
Need something cheap that I can leave at a outside cycle park place.
Near to Sidcup if possible.
Let me know

I've got a 90s era Raleigh road bike that I've recently had completely sorted - new tyres, (gatorskins - very puncture resistant), new chain and cassette with all the cables checked etc, and indexing done, new brake levers and brake callipers fully set up by Cycles UK and new bar tape.
It's a really nice ride, but I'm just not cycling at the moment and could do with the money instead, so if you're interested you can have it for what it owes me - £195 (£150 of that was the servicing and parts!)
It's only done about 15 miles since so is in pretty good nick!

Thanks for the offer
Do you have a picture? I goggled it but all I get is old cars!

Sorry - should be 'Prince'
'tis scabby, dusty, bird$hitty & has flat tyres so good to go.
Surely nobody would want to nick it though it will be a collectors item in a few months.

In your line of work Choo surely there's loads of abandoned pushbikes.

Otherwise I'd be having a friendly chat with the guys at my local recycling centre, loads of bikes get dumped unnecessarily and are perfectly usable. Unfortunately my local one won't let me rescue them any more, in fear I'll sue them if I fall off a dodgy one.
I'd post a wanted ad on your local Freecycle or Freegle groups, you're bound to find something nearby.

Thats true the yards are full of bikes that have been recovered or found but have owners that can't be found. Nobody knows what happens to them after they have sat in the yard for years!!
Will check the links outs :thumleft:

Cop shops also have sales of 'found' bikes & other gear.
Must keep them in tea and jammy dodgers.
The search is over. I have found and bought a bike for whooping £37!!
