2 years riding my sv and not a single slip.. 1 week driving a crappy 125 and my back end slides on a roundabout and i go flying off.. i do not like thin tyres i could tell they wasnt gripping well when i set off didnt expect to come off though

Was it wet or damp?

Most likely some diesel or oil caused your tyre to lose grip

not too sure wasnt very wet but was far from dry.. yeah i think that because the wheel just went mad wasnt going fast or leaning over.. the back wheel just decided it didnt wanna work for me!

had my nice back protector in and instead of landing on that i land on the side of my back pretty sore now! lucky it was low speed and no serious damage

After a prolonged dry spell with no rain to wash off rubber, dirt, oil, diesel, leaves etc etc, with these damp foggy mornings, these places are going to be like ice rinks until they've had a good deluge of rain to wash this film off

Well, glad you're OK, just wondering what tyres you have on the little fella?

I just started using a 125 and got Metzeler ME22(front) & ME77 (Rear)

I found my little 125 was much better after I changed to some decent tyres, the OEM were horrible in the wet.

This was back in the 1980's :p

yeah my old 25 had better tyres than stock on it and i never slipped on that no matter the weather.. just very embarrassed by doing it on this so ill blame the tyres ;)

I've been wondering about this myself as the bad weather is obviously going to be here soon and for over winter, I've not been on a 125 since my CBT in 2003 so have no experience on them or the grip.

So mitigated the best I can with some descent tyres and just won't be an idiot.

Having said that whilst the weather is good I am finding roundabouts fun, I basically hit them at the top speed they can go around it as I can't power out of the corner :)

It's like driving the Land Rover, I've spent that much time and effort getting up to speed that I don't really want to slow down unless I have to ha haa
