View Full Version : October Photo Competition - Hands & Feet ** VOTE OFF **

Thank you for the votes last month. That is one of my favourite pictures, I really ought to get a print done.
This month's theme is hands and feet. So often when taking a portrait we photograph faces, but I love hands and feet. In my job I see some pretty bashed up and ugly examples, my first sample photo is a close up of former England captain Nasser Hussain, who fractured his hands so many times he was known as poppadum fingers. The final one is a Strictly contestant.
Get creative, as I've shown, you don't have to limit yourself to bare human digits. Funky footwear, statues, maybe even an interesting clock with hands or leg of furniture as long as it has a 'foot' at the bottom.

Hands and feet. Apparently the front ones serve as either.

I'm the only member of the family who doesn't think the coffee making ritual isn't a complete drag.
I will only drink Monsooned Malabar.

Daddyjob gets my vote this month, I love the colours and the fact that (what looks like an opportunistic shot) fits so well with the theme and forum in general. The helmet in shot gives some more reinforcement of the biking element.
Struggled to pick the rest of my personal podium places as they're all great and I SO wanted to get paws on the podium but I'd have to go with Red Ones shot for second place and Shawthing for third. Nicely done shots.
Richie's and TheLens' shots are both stunning examples of technique but neither of the subjects do much for me personally I'm afraid. Sorry guys :(
