Pointy - 19K Service, Valve Clearance check/adjust, fluid change etc

as title...

missed the valve check at 15k service fell at 12k then oil at 15k so next service is now 19k....

dealer charging £450 for service, valve check and brake fluid change (front and rear)....

that's a lot of bloody money!

That's about right for a main dealer doing it. If it needs shims it's another £100 or so

yeah i know just bl00dy expensive! £450 just think I would be able to buy all the tools and then some for that price! just don't have the time or the knowledge to do it... not that I could not do it if someone showed me. It's more time...

Expensive I know, given up 2nd year warranty so I could service bike myself for fifty quid. (Fingers crossed this was a wise move?!)


Feel sorry for the dealers, Vat at 20% doesn't help when presenting customers with the bill.
