Apologies if this has been discussed before BUT !

I watched ROAD last night - WOW what a film. heartbreaking of course and it does make you wonder what makes these guys want to risk their lives in this way, I think only those that race can ever answer that one. (Dont worry Im not being negative on them).

You gotta feel the irony of Roberts Crash. It was the close proximity of the front brake and clutch which was a legacy of his big TT crash that caused him to flip over the front when the engine seized - it appears he grabbed the brake aswell as/or instead of the clutch. Very sad sequence of events.

Any one else seen it ? The filming and editing I thought were superb and Liam Neesons voice was excellent as a narrator.

I think the vast majority of riders who take part in events like this set out to ride within their limits and they have no intention of making the mistake that could lead to it all going wrong. You have to accept that you may become involved in another incident from which there is no escape, but that is just as likely when you jump on your bike to nip down the shops.

You just need to have a lot of confidence in yourself, and your bike. That is why so many road racers prepare their own machines, or are in the very least very particular about how it is done.

I'd never heard of this film until last week, decided to order the Blu Ray and loved it, was balling my eyes out by the end.
