If you had 7 days leave to take this calendar year....
Not thinking adventure holiday, or anything to do with bikes. More get away for a week, turn the brain off - and have some heat.
Not too keen of the canaries.... No where is too far.
Go!
I hear Cape Verde is nice, boring, but nice.
Take some pasta sauce with you in the suit case, just in case ;)
Years ago I went to Side in Turkey. Hot, loads and loads of history if you want to find it and not a massive flight.

Don't bother with Cape Verde, my niece and her bloke are there ATM, don't think they are very impressed with it.

Easy Jet to Sardinia. Lovely people, nice views and a lovely place.
I last went there in 2004 and had a thoroughly relaxing and wonderful time. Mind you I left the towns and wandered off into the mountains where I found peace and tranquillity.
It is entirely possible to roam about feeling very peaceful and just enjoying the culture. I would go there again, but my other half has a weird thing about going to Europe!

What about if you've 13 days left to take, but can't take any more than 2 consecutive days because of meetings and no one to cover for you which is the situation I find myself in.

I would go on a massive bender. And no I don't mean Stretchie. Lots of drink, drugs, and women of ill repute. Its the only way forward.
Interestingly I have some holiday left this year as well...

I guess it depends on just how much heat you want. If you want some proper warm weather where you have to seek out shade then at this time of year you have to change hemispheres, and that's going to involve a longish flight.
If you really want to switch off you also need to go somewhere off the beaten track, otherwise you're just going to be in a tourist trap where everybody is waiting their turn for a piece of you.

Depends on the budget too.
I've just booked another flight to my favourite island for February. We weren't impressed with the last hotel in October for the budget so began looking at villarenters and Trip advisors booking site for private villas. This was on a friends recommended experiences.
Tailored holiday for our personal needs, instead of someone else's packaged idea. 500 quid less too!
Gotta be California or Vegas.

No thanks - I have a history of using all my holiday to knacker myself out then never getting over it.

Heat is not a problem - flight time wouldn't bother me - although probably don't want 24 hours to Oz to get over jet lag then come back. And yup - avoiding tourist traps is why the Canaries and Egypt aren't particularly appealing. Was considering heading out to Sri Lanka for a few days of sun and try to catch a ODI, but I might have left it too late.
Also, is it just you or anyone going with you?
Just me
Depends on the budget too.
Undecided. No point spending any money on something that doesn't appeal. Need to find something that I want to do yet.
Safari? lol
Edit: Also, never really been away on my own. (well I've done Ireland on the bike) Not scared of it, but maybe a little wary...

They're the cutest girls in the world !
Bodrum in Turkey is nice. Loads to see with the old castle. We stayed all inclusive at the Voyage. Bulgaria is good also, went skiing but I hear there is a part that has sandy beaches and hot weather.
