Hey all. Thanks for the votes for November. :)

For this months theme.
I like photo's that try and force you to see something in particular, or take your eye in a certain direction, for example.

I've chosen man-made views, but lets see what others can interpret it as.

Reposted as the original lacked punch. Played about with it in PE. Improved the sky. Boosted the pyramid levels to make it a bit more punchy. Removed the cow's rearend. Removed green plastic bales. Thanks to Digital Photo mag and their PE tutorials. Still learning.

This is the bridge on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

We also visited the Hellfire Pass memorial centre which is one of the most moving places I have ever been, reading the stories of how badly they treated the prisoners and their terrible conditions had me in tears.

Despite lugging thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment to the memorial centre which is out of town, when I visited the actual bridge I walked to it from the hotel and so this picture is taken on my phone and converted to B&W in Photoshop.

Some lovely roads and rails doing exactly what the subject set out to do but for thought, execution and ingenuity I have to go for Richie this month.

Bananaman for me too. The yellow centre lines do exactly as the thread title suggests. But I'd give Ritchie the technical award.

Though loving the LPH pic.

Richie gets my vote this month because he'd created the image I'd had in my head but with no idea how to go about it without actually drawing and I can't draw to save my life.

Banannaman coming in 2nd as that is a cracking shot, love the angle and the lines work so well. If the lines would have been in the UK and white I don't think it would have worked nearly as well.

And as it's Christmas we get 4 people on the podium, 3rd place shared by LPH and Sir_Trev, LPH's has gorgeous lines and stark contrast but I like the colour in Sir_Trev's

Richie, you've seen my organisational skills ;). I'm not sure I'm up to the job but game for giving it a try if no-one else wants to? The competition seems too popular to not keep going.

The only thing is........

Torn between Richie's cleverness & interpretation and LPH using b&w to great effect.

Hmm, Richie gets the nod.

Thanks everyone for the votes!

That was a one handed shot taken while riding the SV!
(Please don't try that at home)

I just wish I knew where that camera was now.
It was easy to operate with one hand and took decent pics whilest riding.

I'll get January's thread up tomorrow.
Thanks again!
