Question I cannot find an answer to.

Existing roof I wish to extend is Marley bold roll. I understand these are no longer in production and no alternative will match the profile.

However, I have also been informed that it is possible to extend with new tiles as they will match the join. so I can lift existing from the side to match the extended height. Then put new to the side.

Is this the case??? and what other makes of bold roll will mate with the join strip

A quick search on eBay and there seems to be quite a few reclaimed ones for sale, could you do it with those?

Because the roof is not visible from my property, I compromised. (It is after all a shed)

I lifted 5 lengths to give me enough tiles to cover the extended depth, I then put double roman where I had lifted the tiles, they join on fine with same interlock. Same colour, size etc.

Might look slightly odd if looking from the neighbours, but so long as it is water tight.
