Owdo.
It's been a while since I've been on here, but thought I would make an appearance as I've missed some of you :)
Well, what have I been up to? Nothing too exciting really. Tried to get a job on the Isle Of Man, got told twice that I'd got the job, but never saw the work permit that was supposed to have been posted to me.... Ah well, never mind eh?
I've also been building motorbikes & scooters :D. Built a Peugeot Speedfight with a fully race tuned engine. I looked such a **** on it that I sold it after about 30 miles of ownership.
My latest project is a 1983 Honda CBX550. I bought 2 for £400 & am in the process of totally rebuilding it. It's turned out to be a mammoth task with, what seems to be 1 step forward & 10 back, but it'll get there eventually.
I've also been asked to renovate a 1970's icon. A Phil Read replica CB750 Honda that has been sat in a garden for over 20 years, there were only 150 ever built, so that will be a challenge.
Still doing my photography, so I will bore you with some of my pictures no doubt.
That's about it really, just thought I would say Hi & will be mooching around (mainly in the photo section)

Ah CBX550, which model Col, faired or naked?

I loved mine until the camcam rattle appeared.

Pictures please.

Phil Read replica, that sounds like a challenge too

I've put some pics up in the Photo section Mav. Faired, or unfaired? the answer is YES ;)

One of each lol

I'll have the faired, as I've already had the unfaired model

Having 2 is just plain greedy ;) :D

I'll be honest. I hadn't got an SV & got a bit cheesed off when somebody said that my 7D canon purchase was a fake that i thought "sod it, can't be bothered with it", so left. I have made some good friends on here, so couldn't stay away.

Have been watching your Flikr thread with interest Col. You have some great bike racing shots so the 7D is obviously working well for you.

Nice to have you back.

Aye up Jambo :)
Trev, I'm loving the 7D. I bought a Sigma 120 - 400mm lens & I love that too, the pictures I'm getting are far better than my 450, or 300d, but, for the extra money, they should be lol

Haven't replied on this thread yet, good to see you back! As we prove, this place doesn't require SVs to attend :D
Been getting rather jealous of your racing pictures on Flickr, cracking work!

Cheers me old! :)
I think I have found my favourite camera/lens combo now. I really do like my 7D, I'm glad that I listened to my mate as I very nearly bought the 5D, he told me that the 7D was faster &, for what I was using it for, I didn't really need a full frame camera..... Cheers Ben :):):)

Lol :) I need to find myself another SV, just not at the moment. I think 6 bikes in the yard is enough

You can never have too many bikes ;) remember this formula when you think you have too many,

X=N+1

(when x is bikes needed and n is bikes owned) ;)
