50mm prime lens. Only taken a few shots but is seems really bright in the viewfinder, the focus is very fast and the results are nice and sharp with really narrow depth of field. It's only the plastic bodied f1.8 version and hopefully I can get out and test it properly tomorrow.


Apart from that the usual socks and assorted useful bits and pieces, Guy Martin t-shirt, books and choccie. All good!

The usual stuff I didn't really want or need. Smellies, another pair of headphones, another pair of pyjamas. :scratch:

Only thing I got which I did want was a CD.

To avoid the usual Christmas disappointment, I bought myself a battery operated pressure washer.

I got two lovely cut throat razors, a tankard made out of ox horn and a bench grinder :)

As well as two very happy kiddies that got far too much stuff off both Nannan and Grandma!

A Canon Plastic Fantastic? Possibly one of the best lenses you can buy. Unbelievable value for money. I would check your output closely as i had to go through 3 of them before i found a good un. Maybe just me, but had one with a fibre, one with a crack and a poor focusing unit.

A torque wrench and socket set from Mr LPH - he knows better than to buy me perfume!

Spending money for Thailand. I will be splurging this on the services of small Thai ladies inflicting pain on me whilst slathering me in oil.

A collapsible wine glass so when I get to AR/Togmie/GM I don't have to drink vino from a tin mug.

Several packets of Black Jacks from my nephews so I can turn my tongue blue and pretend to be a giraffe.

I bought Mr LPH some of those easy one piece chopsticks to take to Thailand as despite this being our 5th trip he still can't get the hang of how to use chopsticks :D

Also new helmet voucher for when the new 2015 range is in. The usual bits and bobs from family, notable amongst these is a cycling jacket from my sister and a selection of whiskies from my brother.

got a vacuum bag for my bike, a camera bag, Whisky, Hang over, a 17-40 L series lens, and a Canon 6D, an MXQ android internet TV box, and just ordered a Manfrotto 055 3 Leg Section Tripod with Ball Head Kit.

All in all I think I did quite well :)

Got a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Quadcopter, a 3 hour butchery course (get a knife, apron and £50 worth of meat that i get to butcher), a Jedi dressing gown, some beer, a hoodie and some aftershave. Did bloody well i think!

Finally got all modern with a flatscreen computer monitor, fleecy pyjamas, turtle fur headband...not real turtle fur...walking socks and trousers....and a surprise present from Yorkie that is yet to arrive...he won't tell me what it is either!! Hmph. Finally watched TT Closer to the Edge and Road on new monitor, fancy and bright! Neeeeeeeeeeowwwwwwnn! :)
