Boris does look happy. My increasingly decrepit black Lab did not like having to wait until 9pm for a walk yesterday when it had cooled down enough. It was for her own good, but of course she did not see it that way.

It was a slightly cloudy, patchy, could go either way morning so when I got to Jacks Hill Cafe just outside Towcester there were no showing-off-concourse classics parked but but lots of used and unrestored ones that had buckets of character. Took the chance to increase my album of marques and logos which I've chucked up on Flikr.

What made me smile most though was a very clean and tidy RX-S100. Most bikers my age had one as a learner or a commuter back in the day (commuter in my case) and have fond memories of them. Mine was red but what the heck. And yes, that is a CD200 Benley behind it and a Jawa 350 behind that.

Not only does our place have two "normal" eGolfs for people to borrow and drive around (small survey afterwards apparently - not available to us low-life contractors, boo) but we also now have a performance electric Golf. Sitting outside the side entrance on Friday, plugged in to one of the seven charging points we have outside our building, was a Golf GTE. I'm trying to persuade one of my colleagues to book the keys so we can go and see what it's like one lunchtime.

Now I can tell you're thinking so what, that's a pretty ordinary pic, but I'd like to point out that this required me to ice skate backwards while taking pictures without ending up on my backside and I'm no Jane Torvil!

Shot the flower with my D3200 and ran it through DXO film pack to get the grain and colour. Really in to film at the mo. Currently have four from my collection sat on my desk.

Chopped down a tree and had this little fella pigging out on the bugs that crawled out. He really is very tame. Excuse the low quality as it's a fully zoomed mobile phone pic - he's only about a metre away from me but he's also very little. Didn't seem to mind the noise either.

I think he's a young robin - no red breast yet.

Perhaps not the cleverest place to sit though.

Dont know if its because they're tame or just fareless, ive had robins take maggots from my hand when ive been fishing.

They are certainly very good opportunistic birds and intelligent enough to spot an essy meal.

went for a bike ride.. and managed to find the NAtional Glass Centre in Sunderland for the first time...
a lot of the roof is made out of glass you walk on.... OMG I got a bit of a vertigo feeling.. not good... Little old Man.... I hated it... :(

I've been asked to photograph some staff and other bits of the programme for Saturday's cricket final at Lord's for the ECB. Our catering manager was one of the interviewees and mentions the very popular beef bap of which we sell hundreds on a match day, so this afternoon I took this pic, and now I have the bap sitting on my desk wafting the smell of succulent steak around the office, except I've already had tomato soup and a chocolate pudding for lunch and I really shouldn't eat this, I really really shouldn't but it seems a shame to waste it...

The 3 sisters.... Loved that place when I was there in 1990
