Good effort Richie
Love the first one. I think it's the blue sky against the red of the statue that grabs me.

Red
Looks more brown/gold, alright bronze to me.
Agree with the sentiments though, sort of captures the solemn mood with the sky like that.

Great photo. I love shots that give unusual perspectives, they often alter how you view things for quite some time afterwards. There's some sort of mathematical beauty to the pylon in that photo.

Nice to see that the BBC got their weather right today.....NOT! Cloudy, but dry they said. Went for an early morning ride in the dark & the rain. Breakfast was good though, Gladius headlight is a waste of space, couldn't see a thing, but the ride was still goodo :)

I fancy a canon 50mm fast lens. Would make a good portrait lens with the x1.6 crop factor
Get one then. My 35mm came from CEX, got two years warranty.

It was beautiful. The whole Pavilion smelled of mulled wine because the chefs make it on site from decent red and proper spices. They also make hundreds of mini mince pies and decorated gingerbread biscuits and Christmas cake from scratch. Nothing is bought in pre cooked so it's all top notch.
This was the concert for our wealthy donors. But we did another one last week for the people with dementia in our local community. Though we don't give them loads of booze!
