Cool photo Ritchie.

With my affinity with the sea, its one I would consider buying. Its a calming photo, hope your head was clearer after your ride

Thank you, Yes head is now clear, went out on the bike all weekend, had a one to one photography lesson with a retired ex-pro photographer and then to my mates for a very interesting night of drinking putting the world to rights.

I think if you use the option like "Brightest value" it'll leave the general darkness alone and only lighten any area where something is brighter in another shot (like star trails)

Nice work Richie! really like the idea, has a smidge too much "unreality" for me somehow, did you fake it with some of your incredible PS wizardry or is it just the softened edges making a real shot look unreal?

such a good shot though, seen them done on small scale but to take it out to the wider world is far more interesting!

Not sure Deep Sky Stacker has a brightness control. I think it leaves all the info on the file so brightness can be changed in Photoshop. Which I don't have. Bah.

Bloody thing threw a prop at about 60 feet, went inverted and powered into the ground. I'd only just rebuilt it after last weekends mishap!

Needs another body set, a GPS antenna plus GPS receiver, four new props and a motor.

Ah well, at least the GoPro survived.

That was a spectacular fall from the sky there Pete! But like a phoenix rising from the ashes she flies again....

It's a good job the camera couldn't hear me, the local dairy called asking for compensation after all their milk turned sour.

I have to say though, today's been a good day. After getting airborne again last night, I went for a test flight (play) in the park which went very well. Then, I took the Blade to the local woods for a play. The GPS struggled under the canopy, so I went up to the edge of the woods where about three seconds after I fired the Blade up, it's big, scary, 'ard as nails brothers cruised past. I was beside myself 'cos I didn't have my camera with me, even though it's where the Kingfisher lives and this was the first time in ages I didn't have it. I'd have got some awesome shots with my EOS 6D!

Never mind, not often you get the sight of two Apache gunships over Hindley!

Make sure you select 1080p on the YouTube settings.

I've been playing with PSE today. Not perfect but an improvement on the originals.

Just found out the Essex Chronicle used one of my photos of the Shakedown. My mum-in-law's neighbour just spotted me round there and brought the page she'd kindly kept for me.

I went to the Menin Gate in Ypres this weekend and it was Anzac Day. Every night at 8pm they have the last post to remember all those who lost their lives in the war.

A few pics...

That must have been very moving. So sad to see headstones without a name. I remember visiting Monte Cassino and seeing the cemeteries on the hills around the monastery whilst hearing the monks chanting. I was only 13, still as clear today as it was then.

I'm off to the see six Victoria Cross medals tomorrow, all won by one regiment at Gallipoli.

I visited Ypres with school once and went to the Menin Gate as well as Tyne Cot. There was also a trench museum but I don't recall the name at the moment. The monument in the centre of Tyne Cot has a German bunker underneath it.

I looked outside and there was this crazy sunset so I grabbed my phone and went out into the garden to take some pics.
I'd only been there a moment when I noticed (although partially blocked by trees from my vision) there was a car sitting at the end of our drive. What the...Just then I hear it's door shut and it came rolling up the drive.
It was the Mrs.
She had stopped as she was returning home to take pics of the sunset as well. LOL
