I'm already making plans for a second mortgage to pay for the oil it consumes :-).

Charter one of these, it'll work out cheaper in the long run

Sorry for the derail, I'll stop now
Forgot to put in the ad that it has an alarm and alpha dot system installed

Not sure if you're still about on here 650, but can you (or anyone else) let me know what those heel plates are on your exhaust please or are they a diy mod?
Looks like they are stock but have the pegs removed. You can still see the pivot pin.

Hi mate, always about.
Absolutely no idea, came with the bike but were quite handy really, on long runs I could put my tiptoes on the pegs and my heels sat on the rests. I can't seem to find a good search term to find specifics or generics relating to them, I took them off along with the exhausts not so long ago when giving it a proper good, deep clean. There was no part number or markings etched in to them. I wouldn't be surprised if they were custom made to be honest. If you give the distance between the bolts (think the bolt size is M6?? I've honestly no idea but you need to find that out to know the diameter of the needed holes to put it in place) and the height between the bolts and top of the exhaust, you can get a fabricator to make one up very easily, only a small bit of metal innit

TBH Geo they look homemade
R&G do lots of exhaust potectors which might do as a heel plate, but they're not as substantial as the ones on 650's ex bike

They looked way too good to be home made, at a bare minimum they were a professional commission. They had lots of little studs on them, all perfectly lined up.

Cheers for the replies :) My little brother has just bought an sv1000n and i remembered seeing those heel plates in your pictures 650 and thought, hey they look useful so was worth an ask.
I found that when i had my toes on the pegs my heels sit on the exhaust and its a bit awkward to keep my heels high enough to avoid meltage but those plates would do the trick nicely, i might have a go at making something similar (wont be as nice though) for when i *cough* borrow *cough* the bike from my bro ;)

Do you know what make bar end mirrors they are? I'm after some like that; struggled to find that style so far on the net.
Simple Chinese Ebay ones, literally these

They came with a rubber inner that holds them in place, expands when you tighten the boit. They were rock solid.
