Hi all,

Every time I change gear there is a loud 'knock' noise 2-3 seconds after letting the clutch back in and can also feel a thump through the left foot peg.

The knock only happens on changes but the thump is every couple of seconds. It's at 32k and just had oil/filter but no valve check as I'm an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing. Also adjusted the clutch but makes no difference. Any ideas please?

Thanks

first thing to do is check your chain and sprockets are in good order, lubed and tightened properly.

next up check that your gear shift leaver is free moving as they have a habit of seizing up causing all sorts of problems.

next up is the wheel bearings and if you have never done this then go to someone who has like your local bike garage.

at 32k i would advise you go and get the valves checked and while your at it get a TB balance done. if you haven't done already then i would also suggest you change the spark plugs and air filter.

Maybe time for new C&S then. Didn't know EFI had TB? If C&S any clue as to what the noise is?

Throttle Bodies

it could be a number of things and depends if the bike has been dropped on the gear change side or not.

if your concerned then splash the cash and take it to your local bike mechanic or suzuki dealer or someone you trust and knows about bikes.

your rough location might help as there are a lot of members on here who could lend a hand or have a look.
