Any one had any experience with add-on systems/adapters rather than head units?

I don't fancy one of those new neon glowing, light flashing head units and like my boring standard one.

I'm thinking of getting the DABmotion for the van, looks neat and tidy job aswell as a cheap and well reviewed solution to the problem of **** local radio.

anyone got one or know of any others?

These two may be of use (especially second one)

Avoid glass mounted aerials they are cack. Roof is the way to go!

I had a pure highway dab adapter that I used in my van until a few months ago. It's was pretty good tbh the only pain was having to have it plugged into the ciggie lighter but it could easily be wired in somewhere I guess.
Only stopped using it as I changed the stereo to a dab one

Bit low tech maybe but I use the radio app on my iPhone. I listen to it via an aux lead into my car stereo the same way I connect any other external input. With 4G coverage and all you can eat data included in my contract it costs me nothing.

Admittedly its a bit of a faff to connect/disconnect every journey but I only need DAB exclusive stations once in a blue moon. Not the best way of doing it but a cheap solution none the less.

I've got an aux module already in the van that would be redundant if I was to get a DABmotion as it has an aux built in. Mine currently tricks the head unit into thinking there is a multi changer, it's pretry **** hot at a hands free also.

Also considering swapping the van this year so don't want to spend much plus an adaption would be easy to remove and put in the newer van.

I can dig out my dab highway if you're interested?
