The final payment is due end of Feb so everyone that reserved a crossing and now can't afford it/go will either sell their reservation or loose the deposit and steam racket resell it. Shouldn't be allowed really as alot of people just reserve a spot for the sake of it.

Only took the bike once and now I don't see the point. The circuit is 30-40-50 mph right up until Ramsey with police everywhere, plus most roads are rammed full of bikes and there's also the chance that you get to Ramsey and sit there a couple of hours whilst they scrape someone off the mountain. But the mountain section closed one way has to be done once in your life. I only used my bike to go round the circuit a few time's and once to view the racing, in total I used a tank of fuel, not really worth paying the crossing just for that. We now go foot passenger as it's £85 (I think), alot of walking but it means you can drink. We took a taxi up to the creg and walked up the mountain whopped the chairs out and kicked back with a gallon of cider (yes I got through the gallon). Plus if you hang round the beer tent at the grandstand drinking you'll meet some of the riders.

Only a couple months left to wait :smt038

Booked and paid deposti in november, total amount came in december: 230£ and payment is due by 27th february (from the 4th to the 10th).

I disagree with Wideboy. We took the bikes last year and was great, we were 8 days and everyday we watched the trainings/races from a diferent spot, did the mountain around 10-12 times. When the mountain road was closed, we just rode to Laxey or Castle Town. Yes, you can't drink but I don't mind spend a week without beer just for the sake of riding.

I think if I'd be there without the bike I'll be regreting it all the time

I'm not going this year, but I do intend to go again.

If I do, I'm seriously going to think about flying over, as there's flights from my local airport, but he main one to the Island goes from Manchester. Its got to be cheaper than going on the Steam Packet & quicker for me for sure.

Then I'd hire a car

If I was going to take my bike, I'll go outside of the TT

Bit of a juggling act,but ,trying to get accommodation and ferry to coinside can be a bit difficult, but try the IOM TT site, they have the odd 1 or 2 tickets with or without accommodation and vice versa,You can also follow the thread for homestay, these are people that register with the governments official list of b&b etc on the island, many camp but for me it's got to be a comfy bed with tiles over my head, had plenty of canvas tiles when I was younger ,the old bones don't take to the damp anymore, good luck,I can't wait!!!

If you definitely want to go next year, book this year and pay deposit to secure your ferry and send a few e-mails to a few places for accommodation for 2016, it does get busy,I think you can pre book your ferry in early June direct with Steam Racket and if you can't make it you'll be able to sell them on at cost, good luck!!!
