I had the pleasure of waking up at 6am to banging pipes and a gorilla squashing me flat before he went off to work. The eldest made me a beautiful card with the help of my friend yesterday which I opened when I finally got out of bed
I was then surprised by my 'apparent' dinner for today

I have been besieged by text messages all day with questions ranging from asking how much taxis are, do I like big Macs or chicken nuggets and would there be change from 20 quid if I was bought a coke too. :smt017

Sillyness aside, my birthday present (as requested by me) was to have my engagement ring repaired and re plated as I accidentally bent it a couple of years ago when I caught my finger on something. Its been abused in the allotment, and a whole sundry of things one shouldn't be doing with 3/4 of a carat of diamonds! So now it is all shiny and like it was when it was first bought for me and the big diamond in the middle isn't sliding around in its setting :D

My new damson purple leather sofas arrived before the weekend, so I have been lounging around on them like a spoilt princess all day....well, actually I have for a few days, because I can :smt038

Apparently I have to be nicely dressed for this evening, so I suppose I better get in my best jumper and pyjamas then!

Got a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered from my mum and dad.
We went out for a super meal( Greek meze of course) , just me and Pegasus. Nice to sit without the kids and talk adult stuff, and enjoy each others company.

Couldn't sleep last night, one too many courses :lol:

Sounds like you had a great, thoughtful birthday. Bet you were pleased to get your ring repaired - sentimental (tho in this case there is a lot of monetary value as well) things mean so much.
