View Full Version : Au revoir??

Soooooo after 5 years on the SV I said good bye to it today and have joined the Trumpet club!!

Bagged myself a lovely little '11 plate 675 Daytona!

Am I now to be ostracised from the Org?? Or can I stay?

Can you stay? No yer barred, no one on here likes Triumphs or even rides one, sling yer hook and be off with you. Been nice knowing you...

Nice colour BTW!

Haha thanks chucca! I'll get me coat....

But yeah the colour drew me to it instantly, fell madly in last with it and then took it for a spin yesterday and fell in love!

Is it possible to be a blue sheep of the flock Trev!? Haha

Are you sure that the bike in that picture is not a model and you have used forced perspective to make it look full sized? :smt077

Nice bike though, needs more silver to make it really pretty though. :smt044

Yes, silver is the only colour to have

PyroUK
13-02-15, 04:56 PM
Hahaha!! If only!

I do feel like a clown riding it, it's tiny!! I never thought anything short of a 125 would make the SV feel big but there you go!

Sadly the weather didn't play ball today that was the only 5 mins of sunshine for me! If the weather picks up tomorrow I'll be heading out to stretch her legs and I'll get some more pics up!

The only thing I think it's missing really is a seat cowl and crash bungs. Came with a lovely sounding arrow can. But any suggestions for prettying up are welcome Jayne!

I'm slightly sadend to lose the throaty grumble and gargle of the twin, but it has its own voice which is nice, not quite IL4 scream.

Thanks for all the love peeps!

Took her out today, wasn't able to get properly used to her as it started to rain as is typical!

Bloody lovely though, scared the nuts off me above 10k!! Don't think the fact it is soooooo much lighter helps in that respect haha

Hahaha thanks Tom, I'll bear that in mind! Think I want some shorty levers first though!

It does have a nice Arrow can on there already, which I believe has already "lost" the baffle down a bumpy Road as it wasn't there when I went to remove it hehe

Tomor

No. Levers later they are bling. Quickshifter takes priority as its a safety item. Overtakes are much safer.

Lol. Well I thought you were looking at another new bike to add to the fleet
The 1000 Storm is very nice matt.
Sat on one up the London bike show.
But the new tiger 800 is v nice.
The Tiger sport is a road bike with adventure styling.
Very nice though.

I'm not averse to one but at the best part of £300 I'm alright for an occasional overtake lol

Get a second hand one for £150 and sell it when you are done for £150. I'd you are only doing occasional overtakes you aren't progressive enough ;)

Also we've seen you ride and "occasional overtakes" doesn't cover it, unless you mean occasionally you're NOT overtaking.

Changing gear with it becomes addictive!

No worries buddy, they'll do it for free, only bugger is having to wait a couple of weeks to get it fitted. Only free every other Saturday and they are booked up this sat, thankfully due to the way my holiday has worked out I am off the sat after otherwise it would have been 3 weeks!!

Still, gonna be a while till I get to use it. Not much call for a QS on my c1mile commute to work lol

NTECUK
17-02-15, 07:39 PM
Unless you do a track day the baffles no big issue.
You got tune ecu lead etc.
Unfortunately mine has a locked ecu.
So can only be mapped by the dealer.
Same with the service light.
Once you get used to the QS your wounder how's you ever got on before.
It's so good even for steady rideing

PyroUK
17-02-15, 07:44 PM
Ah, I do plan on doing track days!! May need to source a baffle, wonder if arrow would give me one out of the kindness of their hearts? Lol

A what lead!?

NTECUK

The lead from the pc to the bike for tune ecu programme to work.
