Hi all I've bought a 2012 sv650s (pick it up a week wed).
Just thought I'd introduce myself and ask what mods/accessories you experienced chaps would advise me to get?
Many thanks

Bostin!
welcome to the madhouse :-)
some might argue but i say
1. scottoiler
2. springs and rear shock
3. end can
in that order, but most of all maintenance comes first and foremost to any mods.
keep a close eye on the oil level, in fact do it every pre ride. low oil level will KILL your SV.
i would rather have a bike that runs right than one that looks good but runs like shizz.

Totally agree, I'll make sure I check the oil regularly.
(Was thinking end can first 😄)

Fender extender is useful as is a hugger, crash bungs are up to you (saved me a fair bit when I dropped my bike in the petrol station last year) cotton reels so you can get it up on a paddock stand for chain maintenance are useful, + what Bibio said! Also hello. Oh and mirror extenders are also useful if you get bored looking at your elbows.

Hello, nice bike you will be getting.
First job strip it down while all of the bolts are good and fill every bearing with plenty of grease.
A Fender Extender will save annoyance the first time you take the bike out in the rain.
Set the TPS correctly and talk to Bibio about some of his shiny custom parts, including the gadget wiring unit if you run a Sat Nav.
A chain oiler is a must because it saves so much effort and worry while preserving your chain from road salt, wear and grot.
Good luck and enjoy your bike. :D
