Battery charging

Just a quickie, I need to charge a Yausa battery from a moped for someone. I have an Optimate. Should I remove the yellow caps or not? I know you should on a non sealed car battery.

If the are removable, won't do any harm to remove while charging.

It should be fine with the caps in place, the Optimate isn't a fast charger and after all the caps are in place when the batteries being charged during normal use of the bike.

if there are yellow caps then check the water level as that is why they are removable, should no really need to take them off as there will be vent in the battery anyway
