There was a program on BBC 2 last night about owls, including barn owls. Pretty interesting tho it may be that nothing in there is new to you.
Some quite sweet ducks as well.
I think it is a reflection of British eccentricity. :-)

My little girl is obsessed with owls. We sometimes hear a tawny owl out the back of our hose, once or twice a week. Took her to see some flying around (pet ones not wild), we were also holding them and stroking them.

Ooh thank you for the heads up, I shall get on I-Player and see if I can find it.
We don't really watch much TV, so tend to miss a lot of things like this. It might be fun to see how Alby reacts to Owls on the goggle box too, she does not respond to the wild ones that fly about in the park at night, but let's be honest we don't want any dirty boys sniffing about her, one owl is enough!

I don't watch much TV either - I got more texts that night than I've had in the rest of the year - all friends and family seemed to ping me about it!

Great that some kids don't just want to watch TV and play Candy Crush! :-)

You've got an owl? FH!
Yeah my little girl has just turned 3 in January, and she loves anything about animals or being outside. I got an ipad the other day but I told her it's another Kindle as I fear once she figures it out I'll never see it or her again. Until now though she'll watch 5 mins of Frozen (i.e. one song) or spend an hour in the garden with a stick looking for stuff.
