Hey guys,
I'v been using bendix supersport pads for track days and think I have finally found there limitations as I have started to get brake fade in the heavy braking zones after a couple of laps.
I'm using ebc vee discs and Im now looking for the next step up in pads.
I'm looking at and considering either the EBC epfa or Brembo SC pads!?.
Any thoughts on which to go for would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance nutz.

In case you already know this or have thought of the following, feel free to ignore my comment and questions ;)
2 main reasons to brake fade #1 pads #2 brake fluid boiling
How old is your brake fluid and have you considered changing to a Dot 5 or 5.1 fluid?
I've not used either that you've listed but I have used performance friction pads and they're brilliant, last for ages as well.
Personally I've never found a brake pad I can out perform but the PF 95s come recommended by some very fast riders and, as I said, have the benefit of lasting a lot longer than usual pads.

Using Castrol Dot 4 brake fluid it is changed every year when I get the bike out after winter.

Went with the EBC EPFA pads in the end as the price was ok at £70 a set.
Done one trackday with them in and I found they are fantastic compared to the standard sintered pads I had before, they need a little heat before working really well but this was expected and they only need a corner or two, also found they are a little noisy compared to standard pads but I am not going back now iv tried them and plan on buying them again there that good!.
Another vote for Performance friction pads! I heard others say they are very good so may give them a go some time, where do you shop for them?.

Once brake pads get down low to the limit last 2-3mm,heat is transferred into the fluid much easier so I usually run pads down to around half before changing and keep them in my spares box just incase, if boiling the fluid you should also consider new fluid id recommend motul rbf600, the rbf660 is even better but is also more hydroscopic. Im currently using sbs race sintered fantastic pad.

I don't think the fluid is boiling as its still a fair golden colour when changed.
Also I had no fade at all with the new pads so seems the old pads were causing the drop off in brake performance.

Good to hear, how much material was left on the pads?

They old ones only had two track days on them so plenty of material left, kept them for the road.

Seems strange then to be getting fade then did you flush out fluid aswell?
I use Bendix (MRR or MCR) and haven't had any problems with fade. Biggest change I've made on the gixer and the R6 was a Brembo RCS master cylinder. Absolutely transformed the gixer, and pulling the lever on the R6 is like hitting a brick wall.
Only costs the same as a few sets of pads too.

I want to keep the bike within mini twin rules if I can just in case I decided to give racing a go!, but at the moment I am more than happy doing trackdays.
The bike has braided lines, Ebc v rotors and EPFA pads which has really helped.

I use Goldfren GP5 race pads on my minitwin, excellent and cheap at £24.95 a set

I was pleasantly surprised at the goldfren pads, recently changed from the sbs race sintered. Not as much initial bite but more feel and my braking markers improved and for the price you can't complain!

I Switched over to them when i couldn't get hold of the DP racing pads at a good price anymore. They have great feel and tend to last longer than the SBS ones too.

Using sbs hh sintered might go up at a later stage to the dual carbons
