Morning Gang,

Sorry for this thread - I did do a search and it came back with nothing (is it broken).

For the commuters out there, what Chain Oil do you use and which is the best in people's opinion. Ignoring scot oiler, thats on the list but not just yet. Im after a long lasting lube that keeps the chain clean.

I have tried a few with varying affects, the worst being WD40's new range - that was awful, lasts 2 minutes and lets rust form on the surface, which of course cleans off.

Thanks
Gav.

None of them keep it clean, iv used muck off, castrol, wd40 chain wax and a few others

Im currently using the castrol as I find the waxy stuff seems to gather road grit and grime quicker than wet stuff

Trouble is the search isn't great when you are in a rush.... And also products change between posts so also good for a bump

I use fresh engine oil (just cheap supermarket stuff) in my Tutoro chain oiler - chain is always fairly clean, cleaner than it was when I was waxing & lubing every couple of days.

All of the decent spray on lubes that I used always caused the chain to get really messy and made dirt stick to it, I found that the dry lubes etc didnt last long and I had to adjust the chain more & I couldnt tell if it was lubed or not.

I think the the best one I used was the WD40 chain wax but then you got all the grit etc mixing in.
