Need some help here for a 02zx6r
Fuel pump isn't getting power. Pump has been tested and is working, fuel relay has been replaced, Battery is fine.
12v is getting to the relay but nothing at the other end.
All fuses double checked, it's in neutral, engine is firing up no problem once the pump has been bypassed, sidestand switch checked.

Is there any silly thing that i'm missing before I start cutting the loom open as a bad wire/connector is the only thing I can think of.

Cheers Jonny

sounds to me like the relay coil is not getting live or negative. if the coil is not switching then you will get no power out the other end.

Thats what i thought but a brand new one say's otherwise. Power is getting to it alright but from then on its a mystery.

this is not meant to be condescending but..

its not the relay you have to worry about, a relay is a device with a coil that acts like an auto switch, the relay has 1.power in, 2.power to the coil (unless its shared internally with power in but thats very rare), 3.an earth 4.power out.

when the ignition is on the relay you should have 2 live in and 1 return (earth) and one power out.

you can jump a relay base by removing the relay and connect a wire in between the two main feeds pin 30 and 87 this will let you rule out the relay to see if you will get power to the device.

the coil pins are 85 and 86, one of these has to be live when the ignition is on.

Problem sorted, threw everything back on and she fired up first time. Have no idea what was going on. Cheers
