Hi guys,
Just after some info if possible.
For comfort reasons i have change the clip-ons on my 99 SV650S to straight bars, because of this i replaced all the cables with cables from the N. All my cables are fine but since replacing my choke cable the slider on the left controls doesn't slide all the way forward as it should, it only gets to about hallf way. I'm guessing that because of this the choke isn't fully off when i put the slider back??
Since replacing the choke cable my bike now runs fast meaning im always playing with the idle screw. This morning it was again running fast so i decided to see if me moving the box on the choke cable where it goes from 1-2 cables would have an affect, guess what? yes it did. As i moved it the rev needle bounced all over as the engine got faster and slower.
Are the choke cables on the S and N different lengths if not, does it sound like i got a dodgey 1? I need this fixing.
Cheers,
Si
