Hi,

Just a quick line to say hello i'm new to forums and i've just bought myself a 2004 SX650 S. Went nuts and picked it up from Torquay and rode it all the way back to Manchester.

My last bike was a Honda CBR250 only a little bike for me as i'm only 5"2. It was great until I decided to move to 4 wheels.
Now i've got the means i've got back to being on two wheels and its awesome!

It's going to be a little project of mine so i'll be relying on everyones experience and help!

Thanks! :smt053:D

Welcome to the forum, ask away but use the search function as well as most problems have probably already been discussed so you'll find your answer a bit faster.

Get some pics of the bike up :)

How do you find the SV? Has it been lowered or is it stock?

Welcome!

Ask away with whatever you need! (Just ask someone which isn't me as I am pretty useless!)

Cheers

The SV I have fits perfect, I don't know if it's been lowered but being 11years old it's probably lowered a bit itself. That's what I like to think!

Cleaning the down pipe was the most satisfying hour and a half! :smt023

Claire is quite petite.
But has quite long legs.
So it's maybe ok standard.
Though I'd think twice about a GS as your next bike ;)
How far was the first trip.
That's pretty mega miles. But I bet you are quite used to it by the time you got home.

It was about 280 miles from Torquay to where I live. It was motorways the whole way home but can't say I wasn't used to riding it by the end!
Threw myself in at the deep end!

Hi there,

welcome to the Org, who are generally a nice bunch. If you intend to keep the SV there are an absolute pile of mods you can make that will in time make it more yours and even better than stock.

I know this well and have spent a silly amount of money making my K3 into a special one off.

Happy riding and if there is anything really technical you want to know, Bibio has knowledge that can only be gained through dark magic and alchemy! :smt040

Wow thought that was my old SV when I first saw the pic, top bikes wish I still had it!

As mentioned there's loads that can be done to the bike, here's how I got mine looking before selling it :(

Always amazes me how friendly we become when it's a new member of the female persuasion !!!! LoL.

Welcome. Respect on Torquay to Manchester, although, think it would have been better & easier just to move to Torquay !!!!
