Place to eat for Anniversary in York?

I'm taking the other half to York for the weekend of our anniversary and I'm just wondering about somewhere to have one of our meals?
I've currently booked in at Rustique but to be honest the service that I've received over the phone on 3 accounts has been disgraceful. I've also looked at Hotel De Vinn or however it's spelt but that just out of my price bracket..

Any hints?

Ive just been to rustic use for the last two nights. It wa so nice last night we didn't bother looking anywhere else.

Shame he phone service was poor, the service in the restaurant was ace.

Was itmohe restaurant at castle gate or thre bistro at lendal?
