was filtering to the right of traffic at a stand still when a car pulled out of a side road i slowed down they stopped i assumed they seen me and carried on doing about 10-15 past this traffic but the car suddenly pulled out obviously hadnt looked my way only looked for traffic on his left side and took me off my bike. police was already by the scene pulled me out from under the bike ( handle bar got stuck in my boot somehow?) i was taken to hospital where they said i only had soft tissue injury in my leg but now my left arm and neck have begun to hurt. the other side have admitted liability their insurance rang ( havent heard from mine yet) and told me they would pay for a courtesy bike and my repairs (they asked me to give them the details of my usual mechanic/bodyshop and they would get in touch with them), damaged clothing etc. am i entitled to anymore do you think or should i take that ?

General advise, go back to A&E or see your GP. Get all pain/injury recorded and treated.

General medical staff can be dismissive of soft tissue. only when the orthopeadic specialists get involved do they start to take it serious. My soft tissue injuries still hurt 13 years after they occurred. Compensation does not cover the pain and ease of movement.

Get well soon.

time off work, loss of earnings if applicable, some compensation for injury but don't expect loads here, and public transport costs whilst healing. This is in addition to what they've already offered. Some of it will take time to assess - eg extent of damages to yourself - this will need a doctor's report so they can't offer that straight away.

They often want receipts for items like helmet & kit. They also knock money off the value depending on the age & condition prior to the accident. If they'll give you new for old, consider this a bonus. I had to get a quote for new kit from my local bike shop in lieu of receipts.
