Maybe we should make this an "Off to work" picture thread so that everyone posts pictures of their work journey. But should that just be on a bike?

gt900uk
20-05-15, 03:42 PM
Has to be just on a bike I think! :)

BanannaMan
21-05-15, 03:34 AM
But that would mean I'd have to get up in time to leave home and get to work without having to average 70+ mph all the way there.

my trip to work, although it has a nice run across to and then down along the coast, it isnt anywhere near as scenic as your photo's

The rest of my commute is pretty boring to be honest through the town then up the motorway. Just the boat that makes it different!

Done that ferry many times. My old's live in Kilmun.

1 ticket or 2 ???? The guy with the cycling sunglasses only ever takes 1 ;-)

Only 20 minutes so not to long. The return journey that day was the polar opposite. Utterly miserable especially as my jacket seems to have sprung a leak, good excuse to get some new gear!!!

Delivered a couple of parts to a client today and as I came out of their farm I noticed a road opposite snaking up and over the top of a hill. In 30 years of living in this part of Wales I have never been up this lane and was completely unprepared for the views awaiting me. The photos don't come anywhere near what I could see. It was just the most staggering view. I could see all the way from Cornden Hill in the south east round via the Berwyns in the north west, the Arans, Cadair Idris, and even Pumlimon. I will have to go back and get some better photos.

Looks ace, if I decide to skip the boat journey my route takes me past Loch Lomond and over the rest and be thankful. Haven't stopped with the SV for pictures yet but it's a nice wee run.

Went back to the same spot this evening with a mate, (whose jaw dropped in similar fashion to mine this morning!). Tried to get a panorama but I just couldn't get it on the camera. Looked fabulous again, this time with that orangey haziness you get in the evening separating the lines of mountains and hills into layers superimposed over each other.

Pete, grid ref is SJ 12871 04995

Did manage to get this cloud formation from the same place though.

The "Pink Tent" is famous in Wales, caused a bit of a stir when they started using it for the National Eisteddfod (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Eisteddfod_of_Wales)

Come in to Tŷ Gwerin and say hallo. I'll be in there most of the week as I'm helping to lead the daily session. My girls and I are playing on the stage in there on the first weekend too.

Huge fringe going on at the Eisteddfod these days, very different to the last time it was at Mathrafal back in 2003.
