Just been doing a virtual drive over to Applecross and then following the road North and East. I really do have to go here on the bike.

I love the views you get heading North towards Upper Loch Torridon. Just outstanding.

But anything past Callander is biking country. Come and give it a go.

p.s theres one cabin and one triple room free at the GM and theres a decent group going up to stay at Applecross on the Sunday and Mondays nights.... you know you wanna

https://goo.gl/maps/niV4wDude, it really is as good as it looks. I have similar pictures somewhere (rummages on Facebook)....

There you go... Taken on GMII I seem to recall

Another favourite vista, the Kyle of Sutherland. Not a great photo but you get the gist

I have been up there a few times over the years and I well recall just how spectacular it is. The road you linked to, Lance, I recognised although it's 1972 since I last rode along it.

I'd love to come on the GM Chucca but I'll be with the family in Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam on those dates.

I shall have to see if I can wangle a long weekend to get up to the Highlands before then.

In 1968 I drove an Austin A40 from Stirling to Mallaig with a tight schedule to catch the ferry to Skye. No speed limits then and was before the highland roads were "improved" so some of the journey was on General Wade's military roads. Narrow, winding, frightening but brilliant. I can still remember some of the sections vividly after all this time. As Carelesschucka said, try the roads beyond Callendar.

I wish that was all that was keeping me away.
Got some health and job issues at the moment.
Seems I have none of either.
