Sv650 <07 vs 07>?

I had a go on my mates 08 twin spark and it feels bigger, wider and chunkier than my early 07 (single spark, late registration maybe?)..

Why would this be? Both have standard setup with standard clip ons etc.
We both simultaneously agreed the difference, and I just admit, I prefer the new feel....

That's a little strange as to the best of my knowledge none of the running gear, bodywork, or frame components are in any way different.

Changes to the fuel injection system and colours were about it, so i suspect this is down to modifications on each bike and condition of components.

Exactly my thoughts too, but we discussed it and he felt mine was thinner and harder to 'flick' into corners.. both running same tires too.
I was wondering if the clipons were slightly wider...
His nose cone is noticeably closer to the fender (lower) than mine too...

If his nose is lower then perhaps the yokes have been dropped down the forks a bit?If so the bike will tip in to corners more easily as it changes the geometry.

Aye, didn't think of that. Doesn't explain why his feels chunkier to ride (ey behave).
