I've only ever bought very second hand cars and bikes. My first bike was a cat C from a breakers and the most money I've ever spent on a car was about £2k
I'm very tempted with the current Suzuki offer of 4 years 0% and £1 deposit.
I've seen loads of stuff about haggling for a new car, doing deals on extras or knocking the price down.
How does it work with bikes, is there any negotiation? I don't have anything to p-ex it will be a straight forward purchase
Thanks

I've only ever bought one vehicle new and that was my...curvy. Paid cash and went to a local family run independent Solus dealer with the prices Motorcycle City were charging (shows how long ago it was) and put in a slightly cheeky bid. Nothing mad but it was old stock, they were keen to sell, and we came to a sensible middle ground we were both happy with.
Remember dealers make commission on finance deals so they can offer slightly better prices if you go that route. Good luck.

I used that scheme and haggled on extras. Half price crash bungs, top box at rrp but all fitted, custom seat free, Scottoiler free including fitting, 6 months tax, full tank of petrol, delivered to my house.
The dealer salesman had a nervous breakdown and walked out 2 weeks later!
I drive a hard bargain. I took postcards of the Queen to Egypt and when the hawkers tried to sell me tat I went right back at them offering them 'good price for locals' on my Queenie cards. They were very confused.
Most of your negotiation on a new bike is going to be on your trade in or on accessories.
You'll probably have to pay book for the bike but can haggle for other stuff free or discounted.
The best thing about buying new is there is another seller with exactly the same product so you can play one off the other.

I have nothing to trade in.
I was looking and they're also offering a bespoke extras package. £299 fitted. Do you think I could ask for that to be included?
I've been on the Suzuki website and asked for a test ride. Then local dealer they suggest has the demonstrator of the gsr750Z says they don't have a demo. So I've asked the next nearest via Suzuki uk website. Happy to then deal with a nearly local dealer. It's a very pretty bike.

Anyone fancy coming to the Gloucester dealer or fowlers of Bristol and helping me haggle?
Or shall,I apply to be on one of those telly programmes
you do know that once you have found the bike you want you can phone any dealer in the UK and ask for a deal. its only a few hundred to get it delivered. for instance Cupar Mc's has a pre reg GSR750Z L4 for £6895
also these

Getting a pre reg is the way to get the best deal, I've just bought a pre reg bike, saved £2500 off list and still got the 0% for 4 years.
I will be the second keeper on the V5 but that makes no difference.
There's a few on Autotrader, the one with the Yoshi and belly pan looks a good deal!
