Afternoon all.
After about 3 months of inactivity I went to start my bike, an '05 Speed Triple 1050 and it of course decided not oblige.
The bike is hooked up to a trickle charger and I got the battery tested to see if the CCA rating was sound and it all checks out okay.

When I switch on the bike the rev counter flicks around, the warning lights flash and the headlights illuminate. All normal there.
Then I pull in the clutch, and go to start the bike there’s no joy. I just get a distinct click from the tail section of the bike, home of the fuses & the mysteries of electricity.

Has anyone here with a speed triple encountered this issue & is handy with a ready cure or some avenues I could investigate?
Thanks.

I would guess dodgy Starter relay/solenoid!

Had exactly the same on a bike a while ago, not a Speed Triple, but the same loud click from near the tail as you press the starter - it was starter solenoid in my case

The starter solenoid clicks when it's working. Check the connection from the solenoid to the starter motor for clean and tight, also the connections at the starter motor and the large cables from the battery to the solenoid. If these are OK, try using jumper cables from the battery to the starter motor. The starter motor should spin.
