I'm just about to sort the curvy swap, well read up and practised on it, but on popping the covers off teh bike to line up the front cylinder have found my bike has two A cams in the front and two C lettered cams in the rear.

Looking at TWF Zoran states that curvy cams are lettered
A=INF
B=EXF
C=INR
D=EXR

03-07 are

F=INF
G=EXF
H=INR
J=EXR

And the swap is stock intake cams to exhaust side
and 03-07 intakes on intake, so the cams should be:

Front
A cam on exhaust side and F on intake side

Rear
C cam on exhaust side and H on intake side

The cams out the 07 head are as per Zoran states, its just not as it should be in my bike.

Could anyone advise please?:smt017

Cheers Phil

What you have picked up from Zoran's site is, unsurprisingly, correct so someone's been in there before you.

There is some advantage to having the curvy IN cams in the EX position but the main benefit is having the pointy IN cams.

Impossible to know if this was done on purpose or if they "swapped" the IN for more curvy cams by mistake.

It doesn't really matter - just carry on doing what you're doing, taking account of the fact that the OEM timing marks on the cams you currently have in the EX position are not relevant. You can actually just check the clearances on those and, if OK, leave them alone. Half the jobs been done for you. :)
