Planning to remove & clean my oil cooler this weekend - once I've removed it, planning to sit it in a bucket of soapy warm water to loosen all the crap thats stuck in it so the air flows through it nicely again (obviously wont put the hoses in the bucket or get water inside).

Anything to watch for? Have got new copper washers for re-fitting.

blank off the banjo holes on the rad before you stick it in a bucket of water. use low pressure air when blow drying. why not paint it while you are at it with BBQ paint.

Thanks - will be treating it to a gentle rub down and a lick of paint
