Yeah i dropped mine!! Rookie mistake really.. left my disc lock on and tried to drive away! haha! Never used the lock since. It bent the fairing mount a little and the gear shifter/shift rod but that was it!

Parked up last night, put side stand down ( or at least attempted to!) climbed off bike an it just kept falling!
Smacked my knee on the way down resulting in badly scratched fairing and broken mirror!..... And a f##ck#ing sore knee!!!!!!! I was so annoyed as I'd only recently bought the fairings new and sprayed them! Just my luck
Dropped almost every bike I've ever owned, all for stupid reasons, luckily none of them got damaged.
TSX50 was dropped almost daily, mainly off road though.
SV and GSXR were caused by slamming the front brake on when on full lock!
929 Fireblade was overloaded and parked on a slope, jumped on it and it kept going!
VFR800 in the garage taking it off the centre stand
New Fireblade was dropped on my mate's ploughed field he calls a driveway turning it round on gravel
Vstrom and CBR400 are drop free so far, CBR is tatty anyway so it wouldn't matter but V-Strom is brand new and I'd never get it up on my own as it's huge!

Its a right of passage, you must do it at least once.
Cx500 was good for this, as it was sooo top heavy.
SV has fallen off its paddock stands before, but I haven't dropped many of my other bikes from memory.
Plenty of close calls :p

Disc lock 2 or 3 times, manoeuvring ****-ups, riding too fast or not looking (obvs), tipped it off the sidestand once while changing the back shock, low-speed drop while wallying the throttle and clutch on a cold day - quite a few times now that I think about it!

I'll Never try and ride up a steep damp grass bank on road tyres again. No damage, just embarasment!

When I leave work and have to stop in the entrance of the industrial site to turn right. I always make sure I put my right foot down now.
Learnt the hard way - cold bike, badly set TPS, not enough revs.
Moved forward just enough to part lift my left foot from the floor. Engine died whilst turning/leaning to the right. DOWN I went... Muppet.
Funny now, ****ed me right off at the time.

Had some very close calls before with my Dad's old 600 Bandit and my SV, but I've never had one go over........................yet! *Touch all the wood I can find*

The one thing I don't like with the SV is the side stand retracts FAR too easily, it nearly fell over at a petrol station last weekend when I swung my leg over to dismount.
The only time I've dropped a bike on the road was when it was p*ss*ng down, I had overtrousers on and didn't realise the kickstarter had gone up the leg of the overtrousers. Come to a stop at traffic lights, try and put right foot down, can't, and .... tiiiiiiiimmmmmmbbbeeeeeeeerrrrrr

Never dropped the SV but my old man reversed into it and knocked it off the side stand into the garden. he paid for the new fairing
Gixer I dropped it when my foot slipped on gravel with panniers on it they took the blow thankfully.
Street I dropped it taking it off the paddock stand when it rolled forward and the side stand flicked up, luckily it fell into a big pile of towels that i use for cleaning the bike itself. Once again no damage. I've had a few other close calls with it but its amazing the strength I find when it go's past the balance point.
where would you like me to begin.. lol

I have managed to drop the sv in the back of my van!, I parked on the slope at Brands and when I pulled the bike out of the chock it fell over on to its side pulling me with it, no damaged caused found it funny a little while later but not at the time.

Dropped mine last SV at a petrol station before, just fell off the side stand when I was walking back out from paying. Alarm went off and I wasn't sure if I should turn off the alarm before or after I picked it up! Crash bung held it off the floor and prevented most of the damage, just got 5 small scratches on the fairing lower so got away with it!
didn't exactly drop it as such, was sat on the bike, rolled it backwards out of garage and for some reason didn't kick the stand down, then went over sidways with the bike squishing my leg when we hit the ground! clutch lever and indicator - not to mention some severe bruising to my pride as the missus nearly died laughing at me!

To many to remember...
A few years ago I was using Stretchie's Blackbird. While walking it backwards in a car park I lost my footing on some loose gravel and over it went. Luckily it fell towards me, so I threw my body into it and jammed my knee and leg into the fairing. Holding it there was fine, a struggle, but not a problem. The real challenge was to get it back up right. It was way past the point of no return and the position I was in wasn't helping. Lifting the bike would be easy if I could lay it down and change my stance, but there was no way I was letting my mates bike hit the ground. So with all my might I heaved it up. With the bike on the side stand I took a few minutes to catch my breath before riding off.
A month later on a ride out with Stretchie again with me on his Blackbird we pull into a car park. I stop, get off the bike, then remember the side stand isn't down. The bike hits the floor pulling me down with it. Stretchie looks on in disbelief.

Dropped a crappy 125 on my CBT, dropped the NSR wheeling it into the garage with the the stand down which caught on the raised floor, crashed an ER5 on my Mod 1 and dropped the SV in the works yard while manoeuvring around and my feet slipped. Twice.
I'll Never try and ride up a steep damp grass bank on road tyres again. No damage, just embarasment!
Ha! I did exactly the same. A real b1tch to get it upright again. In full view of the people in my office.

My SV was the only bike I have owned in 20+years of riding thats not been on the floor!
How about dumping my GSX1400 on a berm and gouging the back of my leg open from a hero blob, off -roading, thousands of miles from home, up a mountain in the middle of nowhere with the missus videoing me. I would post it but her language is deffo not "U" rated.:p
Is it not amazing how light your bike is when you have royally made a **** of it infront of an audience!?
Its just part of it. You look back and laugh.
PS, if you are new to it, shoes with laces do not like footpegs, baggy jeans do not like kickstarts!

Never dropped my SV, I laid my CBR125 down a couple of times. Once when it had a flat tyre and moved in an unexpected way while I was pushing it, and once when I stopped and put my foot on wet grass.
The Strom has been laid down as well. Trying to bump up a curb on near right lock and it stalled. Laid it on my leg and there was no damage.

Dropped my first bike, Suzuki GS125, when I got to work one morning. I just completely forgot to kick the stand down, swung my leg over, let go and began walking away...............damn. Only damage was a cracked mirror and my pride as all my appo mates watched and cheered ha!

A couple of years back I had a ER6 for a short while. One Saturday morning I needed to go into town to do a little shopping. I wheel the bike out of the garage, get on it and ride to the end of the drive. I stop, look left, look right, and pulled onto the road.
It was at that point I looked left again. I was surprised to see a car on the road, why on earth would there be one? And it appears to be moving, in my direction.
The surprise turned to shock, and I reacted the only sensible way I could think. At approximately 3.5mph I threw the bike on the floor and commando rolled into the shrubbery.
As I stood up and dusted myself off the driver of the car had stopped and with his window down asked me if I was "all right mate?", I gave the response of "yeah, no problem" and a look of 'I do this all the time'.
I pick the bike up, remount, and ride off.
Only ever once on my triple owned it for 10 days! Leaving the gym and tired and next thing I was eating the Tarmac!

On the morning of my off road manoeuvers test on my gladius, I was paddling it backwards to do a 3 point turn in the back yard, the grass is slightly lower than the flags, foot down on the grass, over balanced, slow motion off! Clutch lever broke, bar end scratched, crash bungs scratched and gear lever bent. Crash bungs.... Worth every penny! On a stranger note, was touring with my son last week and staying at a friends caravan for a night. He has a couple of cousins severely autistic with all sorts of behavioural issues. Anyway woke up Friday morning to strange sounds outside where our bikes were parked. Before you could say, that better not be that f****** wee'un near my bike, the whole caravan shook as my bike got pulled/ pushed over by one of the children! Thankfully only over onto soft grass with no damage! I rushed outside to see what happened to find the kid standing over the bike! The parent in me was glad the child was ok, the biker in me wanted to kick the living s*** out of him. Thankfully, parent prevailed!
i dont know what it is about people paddling a bike backwards when its just as easy if not easier to push the thing then get on.

For those of us with legs longer than indicator storks, it works quite well almost all the time.
with my crappy arthritic spine, I find pushing the bike from the side to be uncomfortable, so I prefer to sit on and paddle backwards.
Always amazes me how fast my mate pushes the bikes from the side out of his shop in the mornings tho, I guess several hundred times a week makes perfect practice!

I don't have an arthritic spine but still always sit and paddle rather than get off and push. Always amazes me when I see how easy people in dealers move the bikes around.
Was in my local Ducati dealer and a salesman was pushing around a 20k Penegale like it was a push bike. I'd be terrified.
Dropped my YBR twice both times on black ice, although managed to stay upright when a white van pulled straight across me when filtering and I took his wing mirror off with my shoulder.
Hopefully I'll keep my SV upright, that'll make a much bigger dent in the wallet if I drop it.
Dropped my 50cc Kawasaki when I was 16. Got off and it leaned away from me and of course the bike is in the way of where you need to put your feet to pull it back. I held it counterbalanced for a while and then had to let it down as gently as possible. Fortunately no-one was watching! My excuse is that I'd just given a fairly large blood sample...
And I dropped my spanking brand new SV on its 13th mile. Diesel and inexperience :(
Picked the sv up from South Wales super bikes, brand new. Rode it home, wife went to take it out for a blast and dropped it.hadent owned it for more than2 hours.

I didn't drop Stu's classic Vespa but I could never get the stupid stand to stay down so I'd lean it against walls. When I took it in for an MOT there was nowhere to lean it so I sat outside the workshop blipping the horn until the lads came out then handed out over and told them to deal with the heap of ****.
I didn't so much drop the bike but was high sided off it on the way home a half hour after buying it. I think I changed down without using the clutch and locked up the rear.
