newbie sv650

ok so im a newbie to this forum and the world of minitwn I've been given a sv650 from a guy I used to work a he doesn't have a clue about bikes its a 2000 model the curvy.



im looking for some advice about turning this into a half decent race bike if that's possible got a ruff idea what im needing to do but just not sure about the engine about tuning etc. I will be stripping the bike completely and building from the ground up. Im from just south of Aberdeen so I anyone knows of anybody local that is good a freshing up work and tuning that would be great but not worried about having to travel http://www.trackdayriders.co.uk/tdr/forum/smileys/good.gif

People normally go for a GSXR front end, improved rear shock, cams off a pointy (higher rise so the valves open more and you get more power), full race exhaust, braided brake lines, race fairings, strip the unnecessary stuff off the wiring loom, R6 throttle tube, possibly improved bearings all round and of course good tyres.

Please note, I'm not a racer and I've never prepared a bike for racing. I've just got a rough idea of a few things
