I dropped it recently on a bend when it kicked out on me. Anyways, I am looking to repair it - my final difficulty is that the peg on the left hand rearset got snapped/sheared off. Can/will the peg from the 2001 SV650 fit the 2004? It so difficult to find a 2004 standard rear set for less than crazy money.

Not without modifying, looking at the part numbers I don't think a K3 would either, you want something from K4 onwards.
