Hi, hoping for a bit of advice.

I have a K4 pointy, all calipers have recently been stripped and rebuilt, new pads and braided hoses.

Rear brake is capable of locking back wheel but has quite a bit of travel, is it possible to reduce the amount of brake pedal travel and if so how do I do it, Please keep it simple as I'm not very technical.

Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a bit of air left in the system,so now it's had some time to sit, bleed a bit more fluid out. If that doesn't do it then it could be that the pistons are sucking back into the calipers, so that the travel is just getting them to contact the pads on the discs. This might go away with a bit of use, or you can take the caliper off and press the pedal a bit to eke them out a bit more, maybe have to then push them back a little, and hopefully they'll stay a bit nearer to the disc. I always find rear brakes have a fair bit of free travel in them anyway though.

were the seals replaced with the rebuild? worn piston seals can deform rather than slide, pulling the piston back too far off the disk, resulting in too much brake travel. Had this on my fronts.

Seals were replaced, hoses replaced and bleed nipples replaced with stainless.
I don't think there is any more travel now than there was when I got the bike ie prior to all the work being done
just seems more than my Kwak, but then again the Kwak is newer.
I will give it another bleed anyway and take it from there. Thanks for the replies.
