I looked into getting one of these, look a lot of fun but decided to take the sensible choice.
Enjoy

I looked too but tank range stopped me in my tracks.
I still think its a great looking bike.
Nice, good choice for getting your biking kicks.
So, how good/bad is the tank range?

one good thing is you'd only ever be putting £16 or £17 in it at a time Murdo.
I can't wait to see what our own thinks of it... He's obviously too busy enjoying it to let us know how it is.

I'm still assessing the exact fuel range at the moment (chickening out and filling up too early). But it's a bike! it's not sposed to be practical :)
Plus I'm still on run-in revs so not really able to properly thrash it yet, which will obviously affect range
The engine is soooo sweet though. Even at limited revs it just pulls so nice and smoothly. Feels and sounds amazing. Makes the sv's engine feel a bit crude, if that's the right word.

92miles and the light came on. Which isn't far off what I got on the sv when I was pushing it
When the light comes on it starts displaying a mileage on the dash, 1.3 miles. That's not a very long reserve distance! So I slowed down a bit and it went up a little. Slowed right down to the mpg friendly 50mph. Still climbing. I got a bit suspicious when I looked down and it was on 7miles and still climbing...
Then I remembered of course that it was telling me how far I have gone since the light came on, not how far I could go...

The tail has been tidied :smt080
Nightmare to fit, but looks much better. I also removed the seat strap and the pillion pegs. I need to stop looking at the carbon fibre Factory parts on aprilia's website :-k
