Would ABS warning light be affected by a low battery?

Just test ridden a GSR for the better half, she sold the SV last.

The bike had to be bump started as it had an alarm and had been sitting for a few weeks, no drama, seller said he'd put a new battery on anyway.

However, when I was riding it the ABS warning light would randomly come on, then go off again after 5 seconds (like when you first set off)

Mentioned it to the seller and he said he's asked a dealer and they said the low battery is causing it.

Does that soind right?

My abs light on the tracer is on the first time I start the bike, until I go over ?7?mph. Or do you mean it is coming on whist you are riding, and stop at traffic lights?

The ABS light should come on if the control unit sees a too low voltage as the system will not be able to operate correctly.
If it was an almera or NV200 its normaly a bad ground .

It would come on every time I slowed down then turn off when I accelerated. Sounds like it was seeing a low voltage then and the seller was right.

Will get him to sort the battery and see if that fixes it before buying.
