Found your thread (clicky (http://www.sv-portal.com/forums/5-tweaking-tuning-tricking/62049-sv1000-my-new-top-yoke.html)) on sv-portal but you have to be a signed in member to view the attached picture :( so im guessing thats why your link here wont work.

That is a thing of beauty. Re-post the picture in case folks missed it in the OP.

Nice, was it our Matt Yokes work?
Looks like it
I was thinking it looked like one of Matt's. His stuff is top banana.

That is a good looking bit of shiny shiny :D if i read right what laverda front end you using?
Yep its one of Matt's, though he's in the progress of reworking it as he wasn't happy with the finish. Its also going to be anodised black and have the 'ignition lock' offset. Looking at the forks and the setup, the Laverdas, 750, 650/668, Strike and Ghost Strike all use the same front. But I think its the 668 as they came with clip-on bars rather than the high bars of the Strike and Ghost.

Cool, what made you choose the laverda over the usual gixxer stuff?

I bought it with the bike, so someone else had already done all the work. I will say on the test ride that I did its very light on the front. I think part of that is due to the seating position with the clip-ons, but it was surprisingly noticeable. right from the go.
I'd been looking round for a sv1000 for a while that was local, and was hoping to get the front done or even hold out for one. This ones done 50k, but fully dealer stamped. Higher mileage has never been much of a worry to me, plus the price was keen.
